ABOUT US

Established in 2011by Managing Director John Styman, our service works to provide quality support and accomodation to Essex's Looked After Children and those leaving care. We now provide a range of services for multiple local authorities, to meet a wide spectrum of needs, ranging from those who require short term support to develop their independence, to people with complex needs who require intensive support to enjoy a good quality of life.

 

Our Mission is to:

  • Meet the needs and aspirations of each Young Person by delivering an excellent and non-judgemental support service;

  • Support each young person to reach their potential though a comprehensive and creative support package;

  • Provide all young persons within our service a homely and therapeutic environment in which to develop and grow;

  • Deliver a high standard of support through motivated and well trained staff teams and;

  • Promote equality and positive outcomes for all young persons within our service.

Whilst in our care we provide our young people with a healthy and safe environment, with the opportunity to expand their horizons with the long term goal of providing them with self-sufficient independence.

Who we serve?

Our work aims to help young people from a variety of diverse backgrounds and upbringings. These include:

  • Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) 

  • Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers who have no recourse to public funds.

  • Young persons with challenging behaviour.

  • Young persons with a history of offending.

  • Those who misuse substances.

  • Those from residential children's home and fostering services.

  • Those who have emotional and mental health needs.

  • Those who have learning difficulties.

  • Those on the Autistic Spectrum.

At CSS we pride ourselves in our ability to work with our young people through difficult periods in their lives. Our diverse staff team make an active effort to make sure our young people feel comfortable and this unique service is one unlike any other for both our staff and young people.
